Simone Centola is an English solicitor registered with the Legal Services Regulatory Authority of the Singapore Ministry of Law since 2010 as well as called to the Italian Bar. He is currently a special counsel with Withers KhattarWong, one of the largest international law practices in Singapore. He began his legal career as a shipping and international trade lawyer in the City of London and since then has broadened his practice to include a wide-range of contentious and non-contentious work. He has extensive experience working in both Europe and (after his relocation to Singapore in 2010) APAC, including as an in-house lawyer for private and listed companies. In addition to trading, shipping, offshore and logistics, in his dispute resolution practice he regularly acts as counsel in international arbitrations (such as ICC, SIAC, HKIAC, LCIA, LMAA, SCMA) arising out of breaches of a wide spectrum of commercial contracts such as licensing, supply, distribution, agency, partnership and joint venture, commission, consultancy, service, etc. In non-contentious work he advises on strategic and legal issues arising from cross border transactions, inbound and outbound trade and investments, business development, and day to day operations, including assisting clients in negotiating all manner of commercial contracts.
